Pixels become both display and state

Solaris streams the visible scene and incorporates user input into later frames. A language model interprets requests and decides how the generated scene should evolve, so the interface is not a fixed set of prebuilt screens.

That design creates a new verification problem: a reviewer needs the starting state, prompt, interaction trace, rendered frames, hidden model decisions, latency, failures, and final task result rather than a screenshot alone.

Production software needs constraints the demo does not show

A useful interface must preserve labels, focus order, keyboard access, screen-reader meaning, permissions, undo, transactions, error states, and repeatable outcomes. Visual coherence is only one part of that contract.
